What you’re looking at above is the Cyrus Cylinder ,that was written in 539 B.C after Cyrus the Great , Overthrew the Babylonian Empire. It was excavated by the Assyro-British Hormuzd Rassam in 1879 at the Babylonian territory in Mesopotamia.

How Cyrus the Great Destroyed Babylon.
Isaiah 44:27&28 says : “(27)who says to the deep, Be dry, and I will dry up your rivers;(28)Who says of Cyrus, [He is] my shepherd, and shall perform all my pleasure, even saying of Jerusalem, She shall be built; and of the temple, Your foundation shall be laid.
God Continues in Isaiah 45:1&2 and says
“
Thus says the Lord to his anointed, to Cyrus, whose right hand I have held, to subdue nations before him, and I will loose the loins of kings; to open the doors before him, and the gates shall not be shut:(2)I will go before you, and make the rough places smooth; I will break in pieces the doors of brass, and cut in sunder the bars of iron;”
As you can see in verse 27 “ the Scriptures says Cyrus will Dry the river ” this is what we’re going to first look into.
As confirmed by Bible scholars , the Cyrus Cylinder, Historians , and archaeologist Cyrus the Great found his way into Babylon through the river Euphrates .
Babylon was a well structured kingdom ,it had 8 Gates and one of the most known gets the “ Ishtar gate” and Babylon had 200 hundred temples dedicated to Pagan gods.
The River Euphrates ran through Babylon , supplying Babylon with water to do projects such as Farming and etc ..the River Euphrates was the Support system of Babylon ,with it Babylon was able to have a food supply of 20 years .
Now Cyrus had Tried so many times to overthrow Babylon and Failed ,but one day He says an idea that not Himself can generate Came to his mind , and he finally discovered that the weakness of Babylon was the River Euphrates ..
He then dug irrigation systems and drained the water from the River ,and the level Waters in the River Euphrates dropped ,And he was able to March with his soldiers and He came right in the Center of Babylon ,and Since there was that Drunken feast in Babylon described in Daniel 5 ,the watchmen of Babylon had left the Gates open just as Prophecied by Isaiah in chapter 45 1&2 Babylon was destroyed fulfilling the word of God .
Just after Cyrus overthrew Babylon the scriptures in Ezra Chapter 1 tells us that Cyrus made a decree to let lsrael go says Ezra “(1)Now in the first year of Cyrus king of Persia, that the word of the Lord by the mouth of Jeremiah might be accomplished, the Lord stirred up the spirit of Cyrus king of Persia, so that he made a proclamation throughout all his kingdom, and [put it] also in writing, saying,(2)Thus says Cyrus king of Persia, All the kingdoms of the earth has the Lord, the God of heaven, given me; and he has charged me to build him a house in Jerusalem, which is in Judah.
This then fulfills the word of God through Isaiah in Isaiah 44:27&28 and some parts of Jeremiah’s Prophecies.
