What is the sanctuary

Part 2

What is the sanctuary  Part 2

In their investigation they learned that there is no Scripture evidence sustaining the popular view that the earth is the sanctuary; but they found in the Bible a full explanation of the subject of the sanctuary, its nature, location, and services; the testimony of the sacred writers being so clear and ample as to place the matter beyond all question. The apostle Paul, in the Epistle to the Hebrews, says: “Then verily the first covenant had also ordinances of divine service, and a worldly sanctuary. For there was a tabernacle made; the first, wherein was the candlestick, and the table, and the show-bread; which is called the sanctuary. And after the second veil, the tabernacle which is called the holiest of all, which had the golden censer, and the ark of the covenant overlaid round about with gold, wherein was the golden pot that had manna, and Aaron’s rod that budded, and the tables of the covenant; and over it the cherubim of glory shadowing the mercy-seat.” [Hebrews 9:1-5.]

The sanctuary to which Paul here refers was the tabernacle built by Moses at the command of God, as the earthly dwelling-place of the Most High. “Let them make me a sanctuary, that I may dwell among them,” [Exodus 25:8.] was the direction given to Moses while in the mount with God. The Israelites were journeying through the wilderness, and the tabernacle was so constructed that it could be removed from place to place; yet it was a structure of great magnificence. Its walls consisted of upright boards heavily plated with gold, and set in sockets of silver, while the roof was formed of a series of curtains, or coverings, the outer of skins, the innermost of fine linen beautifully wrought with figures of cherubim. Besides the outer court, which contained the altar of burnt-offering, the tabernacle itself consisted of two apartments called the holy and the most holy place, separated by a rich and beautiful curtain, or veil; a similar veil closed the entrance to the first apartment.

In the holy place was the candlestick, on the south, with its seven lamps giving light to the sanctuary both by day and by night; on the north stood the table of show-bread; and before the veil separating the holy from the most holy was the golden altar of incense, from which the cloud of fragrance, with the prayers of Israel, was daily ascending before God.

In the most holy place stood the ark, a chest of precious wood overlaid with gold, the depository of the two tables of stone upon which God had inscribed the law of ten commandments. Above the ark, and forming the cover to the sacred chest, was the mercy-seat, a magnificent piece of workmanship, surmounted by two cherubim, one at each end, and all wrought of solid gold. In this apartment the divine presence was manifested in the cloud of glory between the cherubim.

After the settlement of the Hebrews in Canaan, the tabernacle was replaced by the temple of Solomon, which, though a permanent structure and upon a larger scale, observed the same proportions, and was similarly furnished. In this form the sanctuary existed—except while it lay in ruins in Daniel’s time—until its destruction by the Romans, A. D. 70.

This is the only sanctuary that ever existed on the earth, of which the Bible gives any information. This was declared by Paul to be the sanctuary of the first covenant. But has the new covenant no sanctuary?

Turning again to the book of Hebrews, the seekers for truth found that the existence of a second, or new-covenant sanctuary was implied in the words of Paul already quoted: “Then verily the first covenant had alsoordinances of divine service, and a worldly sanctuary.” And the use of the word also intimates that Paul has before made mention of this sanctuary. Turning back to the beginning of the previous chapter they read: “Now of the things which we have spoken this is the sum: We have such an high priest, who is set on the right hand of the throne of the Majesty in the heavens; a minister of the sanctuary, and of the true tabernacle, which the Lord pitched, and not man.” [Hebrews 8:1, 2.]

Here is revealed the sanctuary of the new covenant. The sanctuary of the first covenant was pitched by man, built by Moses; this is pitched by the Lord, not by man. In that sanctuary the earthly priests performed their service; in this, Christ, our great high priest, ministers at God’s right hand. One sanctuary was on earth, the other is in Heaven.

Further, the tabernacle built by Moses was made after a pattern. The Lord directed him, “According to all that I show thee, after the pattern of the tabernacle, and the pattern of all the instruments thereof, even so shall ye make it.” [Exodus 25:9, 40.] And again the charge was given, “Look that thou make them after their pattern, which was showed thee in the mount.”[Exodus 25:9, 40.] And Paul says, that the first tabernacle “was a figure for the time then present, in which were offered both gifts and sacrifices;” that its holy places were “patterns of things in the heavens;” that the priests who offered gifts according to the law, served, “unto the example and shadow of heavenly things,” and that “Christ is not entered into the holy places made with hands, which are the figures of the true, but into Heaven itself, now to appear in the presence of God for us.” [Hebrews 9:9, 23; 8:5; 9:24.]

Heart Symptoms

Symptoms that may Alert for a possible heart disease

Tue, 29 Sep 2020 12:26:37 GMT

Heart disease is something that often shows up without any signs and kills silently. To diagnose heart disease, your doctor may look at your personal and family medical history, current and past symptoms, and suggests various laboratory tests, use different types of CT scans and electrocardiogram. Apart from the usual chest pain and heart palpitations, heart disease has a few other symptoms that most people are unaware of. World Heart Day is observed worldwide today to raise awareness about cardiovascular disease. On this occasion, we have created a list of unusual signs related to heart problems to help you get diagnosed and treated early. Here are the signs to watch out for: Also Read – What extra precautions should heart patients take during the pandemic?

Red tongue with yellow coating Your tongue could also tell whether or not you have heart problems. Normal tongues are pale red with a pale white coating. A redder tongue with a yellow coating may be a sign of chronic heart failure, suggested a study by researchers from the Hospital of Guangzhou University of Chinese Medicine. The composition, quantity and dominant bacteria of the tongue coating were also found to be different between heart failure patients and healthy people. Heart failure patients had the same microorganisms in their tongue coating, which gave their tongue a darker shade. Hot flashes Hot flashes are one of the most common symptoms of menopause. It causes a sudden feeling of warmth in the upper body, usually most intense over the face, neck and chest, with profuse sweating. But hot flashes may also be a sign of heart disease in women age between 40-53 years. A study in Menopause suggested that ‘early occurring hot flashes may be those most relevant to heart disease risk’. The associations were independent of other heart disease risk factors. Crease on the earlobe A visible external crease on the earlobe may indicate atherosclerosis, narrowing of the arteries due to buildup of plaque. It is the leading cause of heart attacks, strokes, and peripheral vascular disease. Sanders Frank, an American doctor first described the sign, which is also known as Frank’s sign after him.

Yellow fatty bumps Beware of yellow, fatty bumps on your elbows, knees, butts or eyelids. They are known as xanthomas and commonly seen in people with familial hypercholesterolemia, a genetic disease. This disease is associated with high levels of low-density lipoprotein cholesterol or bad cholesterol, which is a risk factor for heart diseases.

Fingernails turning thicker and wider Are your fingernails changing shape? If they are becoming thicker and wider, there is something wrong with your heart. This may happen when oxygenated blood is not reaching the fingers properly. It is also known as Hippocratic fingers after Hippocrates who first described the symptom in the fifth-century BC.

Ring around the iris A grey ring around your iris may be another indication that you are at risk of developing heart disease. Usually, the ring starts at the top and bottom of the iris before forming a complete ring. However, it does not affect your vision.

Deteriorating oral health Bad breath, loose teeth and bleeding gums are signs of poor oral health. But this can also lead to heart problems. So, get a heart checkup too after your dental visit. Bad bacteria from your mouth can enter the bloodstream and cause inflammation in the blood vessels. This is a precursor to cardiovascular disease.

Blue Lips If you notice that the colour of your lips has turned blue, consider visiting a cardiologist. The changes in your lip colour may be due to the failure of the cardiovascular system to deliver oxygenated blood to tissues.

Did you know 💡🗣️

Perfect health depends upon perfect Circulation of Blood. The Blood nourishes the Body .

Did you know also that whatever you eat becomes part of your Body ? The health of your body depends upon what you eat and how you treat yourself .

Those who are not in health have impurities of Blood – (Testimonies of the Church 3:70 ) Errors in Diet is at the top of the list in causing impurities of Blood. We can never expect to be healthy if we’re living upon flesh meats , butter using large amount of cheese rich pastry ,spiced and highly spiced foods , Condiments and large amounts of Grease .
In order to make a good quality of blood,we must have the right kind of food, prepared in a right Manner .

Impure Air ,lack of Exercise, lack of cleanliness,Drugs (pain killers etc) and improper clothing have been causing imperfect state of Blood in Humans beings since the fall ,and the result of being thus neglectful is death .
If we unnecessarily injure our bodies,we dishonor God ,for we transgress the laws of our being. Sickness is caused by Violating the laws of Health,it is the result of Violating nature’s laws.
Can we thus blame God for Covid-19 ?
Can we thus blame God for high blood pressure , tumor and Cancers that are sweeping millions of lives today? Definitely No. 1 Corinthians 6:19&20″(19)Or dont you know that yourbody is a temple of the Holy Spirit which is in you, which you have from God? You are not your own,(20)for you were bought with a price. Therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are Gods.
1 Corinthians 11:29″For he who eats and drinks in an unworthy manner eats and drinks judgment to himself, if he doesnt discern the Lords body.

God by his love has given us laws to govern Both our physical and moral life if thus we live in Disobedience and ignorance towards God’s law then indeed we shall reap what we have Sworn !” Ecclesiastes 8:12&13″(12)Though a sinner commits crimes a hundred times, and lives long, yet surely I know that it will be better with those who fear God, who are reverent before him.(13)But it shall not be well with the wicked, neither shall he lengthen days like a shadow; because he doesn`t fear God.

What is the Sanctuary ?

What is the Sanctuary?

Part 1

The scripture which above all others had been both the foundation and central pillar of the Advent faith was the declaration, “Unto two thousand and three hundred days; then shall the sanctuary be cleansed.” [Daniel 8:14.] These had been familiar words to all believers in the Lord’s soon coming. By the lips of thousands was this prophecy repeated as the watchword of their faith. All felt that upon the events therein foretold depended their brightest expectations and most cherished hopes. These prophetic days had been shown to terminate in the autumn of 1844. In common with the rest of the Christian world, Adventists then held that the earth, or some portion of it, was the sanctuary. They understood that the cleansing of the sanctuary was the purification of the earth by the fires of the last great day, and that this would take place at the second advent. Hence the conclusion that Christ would return to the earth in 1844.

But the appointed time had passed, and the Lord had not appeared. The believers knew that God’s Word could not fail; their interpretation of the prophecy must be at fault; but where was the mistake? Many rashly cut the knot of difficulty by denying that the 2300 days ended in 1844. No reason could be given for this, except that Christ had not come at the time they expected him. They argued that if the prophetic days had ended in 1844, Christ would then have returned to cleanse the sanctuary by the purification of the earth by fire; and that since he had not come, the days could not have ended.

To accept this conclusion was to renounce the former reckoning of the prophetic periods. The 2300 days had been found to begin when the commandment of Artaxerxes for the restoration and building of Jerusalem went into effect, in the autumn of B. C. 457.Taking this as the starting-point, there was perfect harmony in the application of all the events foretold in the explanation of that period in Daniel 9:25-27. Sixty-nine weeks, the first 483 of the 2300 years, were to reach to the Messiah, the Anointed One; and Christ’s baptism and anointing by the Holy Spirit, A. D. 27, exactly fulfilled the specification. In the midst of the seventieth week, Messiah was to be cut off. Three and a half years after his baptism, Christ was crucified, in the spring of A. D. 31. The seventy weeks, or 490 years, were to pertain especially to the Jews. At the expiration of this period, the nation sealed its rejection of Christ by the persecution of his disciples, and the apostles turned to the Gentiles, A. D. 34. The first 490 years of the 2300 having then ended, 1810 years would remain. From A. D. 34, 1810 years extend to 1844. “Then,” said the angel, “shall the sanctuary be cleansed.” All the preceding specifications of the prophecy had been unquestionably fulfilled at the time appointed. With this reckoning, all was clear and harmonious, except that it was not seen that any event answering to the cleansing of the sanctuary had taken place in 1844. To deny that the days ended at that time was to involve the whole question in confusion, and to renounce positions which had been established by unmistakable fulfillments of prophecy.

But God had led his people in the great Advent movement; his power and glory had attended the work, and he would not permit it to end in darkness and disappointment, to be reproached as a false and fanatical excitement. He would not leave his word involved in doubt and uncertainty. Though many abandoned their former reckoning of the prophetic periods, and denied the correctness of the movement based thereon, others were unwilling to renounce points of faith and experience that were sustained by the Scriptures and by the witness of the Spirit of God.They believed that they had adopted sound principles of interpretation in their study of the prophecies, and that it was their duty to hold fast the truths already gained, and to continue the same course of Biblical research. With earnest prayer they reviewed their position, and studied the Scriptures to discover their mistake. As they could see no error in their reckoning of the prophetic periods, they were led to examine more closely the subject of the sanctuary.

But let’s wait for a Moment ! If God can really Give this tree a long length of life , Won’t God be able to give those who are willing to trust and wait on him to be given eternal life in the world to Come? Many have been looking for eternal life, in wrong places but yet nature testifies how God can be able to grant those who believe in his son and those who thus deny themselves so that they may be cleansed from all unrighteousness.

Isaiah 65:22″They shall not build, and another inhabit; they shall not plant, and another eat: for as the days of a tree shall be the days of my people, and my chosen shall long enjoy the work of their hands.

Psalm 92:12″The righteous shall flourish like the palm tree.    He will grow like a cedar in Lebanon.

Yes just like the Baobab tree living longer than ever and  springing it’s waters from within it’s trunk , Christ also can make you a Source of happiness in other people’s , and Can Grant you an eternal life in the World to Come

Revelation 3:20″Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in to him, and will dine with him, and he with me.
